We work for manufacturers who want to launch products for which there are either no applicable harmonised EMC standards or in case they diverge from these standards. We review products and the technical documentation including the test report to see if they entirely or partially satisfy the essential requirements.

We also help establish product groups for large product families, thus reducing expenses for conformity assessment (i.e. comprehensive EMC testing).

Notified bodies are furthermore tasked with assessing fixed installations and non-portable systems, i.e. mass-produced systems.

The Notified Body is accompanied by a steering board, made up of three experienced members. Their expertise in EMC guarantees continuity, credibility, and impartiality.

The complaint mechanism for the Notified Body is publicly available, i.e. every complaint regarding certifications will be processed. The exact procedure is regulated by the certification agreement with the Notified Body as well as by the mechanisms described in the quality management system by EMC Test NRW GmbH.
